RU58841 and Minoxidil are both compounds used in the treatment of hair loss, but they work through different mechanisms:

RU58841: A topical anti-androgen that blocks DHT (dihydrotestosterone) receptors in the scalp, preventing DHT from binding to hair follicles, which is a key factor in androgenic alopecia (male and female pattern baldness). It helps reduce hair follicle miniaturization and promotes hair growth.

Minoxidil: A vasodilator that increases blood flow to the scalp, stimulating hair follicles and promoting hair growth. Its exact mechanism isn’t fully understood, but it’s believed to extend the anagen (growth) phase of hair follicles and increase follicle size.

Both are effective for promoting hair regrowth but target different aspects of hair loss: RU58841 targets hormonal factors, while Minoxidil improves scalp circulation and follicle health.
GHK-Cu and AHK-Cu are peptides that bind to metals (copper for GHK-Cu, aluminum for AHK-Cu) and promote skin regeneration and repair.

GHK-Cu stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, helping to improve skin elasticity and firmness while reducing inflammation and promoting wound healing.

AHK-Cu also supports cell growth and tissue repair, enhancing elastin and collagen production, and can promote hair growth.

Both peptides help boost the skin’s elasticity, improve skin structure, and encourage tissue regeneration, making them effective for anti-aging, skin rejuvenation, and hair restoration.

How it works

RU58841 is a topical anti-androgen that selectively inhibits the binding of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) to androgen receptors on hair follicle cells. By blocking DHT at the receptor level, it prevents DHT-mediated follicular miniaturization and prolongs the anagen (growth) phase of hair follicles, mitigating androgenic alopecia.

Minoxidil, a potassium channel opener, enhances vasodilation and increases blood flow to the scalp, leading to improved oxygen, nutrient, and growth factor delivery to hair follicles. It stimulates prolongation of the anagen phase and induces follicular regeneration, likely via activation of VEGF and PDGF pathways, although its exact mechanism remains incompletely understood.

GHK-Cu and AHK-Cu are peptides that bind to copper (GHK-Cu) or aluminum (AHK-Cu) to activate cellular signaling for tissue repair and regeneration.

GHK-Cu stimulates fibroblast activity, boosting collagen and elastin production while reducing oxidative stress and inflammation. It activates pathways like TGF-β and VEGF for ECM remodeling and wound healing.

AHK-Cu promotes keratinocyte growth and supports collagen and elastin synthesis, enhancing skin elasticity and potentially supporting hair growth by modulating growth factors like IGF-1 and FGF.

Both peptides improve tissue regeneration by modulating gene expression and signaling pathways involved in skin repair, elasticity, and follicular health.
