Product Description

Phenylpiracetam is a synthetic phenylated derivative of piracetam currently being investigated for its potential cognitive-enhancing, psychostimulant, neuroprotective, and neuromodulatory properties. Preclinical and limited clinical literature suggests it may influence cholinergic, dopaminergic, and glutamatergic neurotransmission, with possible effects on memory, focus, wakefulness, psychomotor performance, and adaptive stress response mechanisms within the central nervous system.

How it works

Phenylpiracetam is being investigated for its potential neuromodulatory and psychostimulant-like effects via multifactorial CNS mechanisms. Preclinical data suggests it may exert positive allosteric modulation of cholinergic neurotransmission, with possible enhancement of nicotinic acetylcholine receptor signalling and downstream cortical excitability. It has additionally demonstrated the potential to influence dopaminergic and noradrenergic pathways, which may contribute to observed effects on wakefulness, motivation, psychomotor performance, and cognitive processing speed. Literature further suggests phenylpiracetam may possess membrane-fluidity modulating properties secondary to its racetam backbone, with the possibility of enhancing neuronal signal transduction and synaptic plasticity. Investigational models have also reported potential anti-amnestic, neuroprotective, and adaptive stress-response effects, including modulation of glutamatergic transmission, attenuation of oxidative stress markers, and possible upregulation of neurotrophic signalling pathways.
