How it works

Epithalon (Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) that exerts geroprotective and regulatory effects at the nuclear and epigenetic level. It is proposed to modulate telomerase (hTERT) activity, promoting telomere elongation and chromosomal stability in somatic cells. Epithalon also influences gene expression via interaction with DNA and histone-associated regulatory complexes, normalizing circadian rhythm–related melatonin secretion through effects on the pineal gland. Additionally, it exhibits antioxidant and cytoprotective properties, reducing oxidative stress, apoptosis, and cellular senescence signaling pathways.
