How it works

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide that exerts cytoprotective and regenerative effects through modulation of angiogenic, nitric oxide (NO), and growth factor–related signaling pathways. It upregulates VEGF and FAK–paxillin signaling, promoting endothelial cell migration, angiogenesis, and tissue repair, while stabilizing NO synthase activity to maintain vascular homeostasis. BPC-157 also influences inflammatory and oxidative stress pathways, reducing pro-inflammatory cytokine signaling and apoptosis, and enhances fibroblast proliferation, collagen organization, and tendon-to-bone healing, with indirect effects on dopaminergic and serotonergic systems implicated in neuroprotection.
